Workshops
Seeing. Storytelling. Community.
I believe creativity begins with noticing.
Whether we’re using photography, writing, conversation, or simple creative exercises, my workshops invite participants to slow down, notice the extraordinary within ordinary life, and discover the stories that connect us to people and place.
Designed for libraries, museums, schools, festivals, historical societies, arts organizations, and community groups, every workshop is adapted to the interests of the participants and the goals of the organization.
Workshop Themes
The Art of Seeing
Documentary Photography & Visual Storytelling
Together we’ll explore curiosity, light, perspective, composition, and storytelling through a series of simple, hands-on creative photographic explorations.
No technical photography experience is required. Only curiosity.
Participants will:
• discover the principles of documentary photography
• learn to notice stories hidden in everyday life
• participate in hands-on creative challenges
• explore their own community through fresh eyes
• share images and reflections in a welcoming group conversation
Participants are also invited to choose a small personal documentary project inspired by their own lives — exploring themes such as A Week in My World, Morning Light, The Places That Hold Me, or One Ordinary Day — opening the possibility for a follow-up workshop focused on storytelling, sequencing images, and creating a collaborative zine.
The goal isn’t to photograph something extraordinary. It’s to discover that extraordinary stories already exist within ordinary life.
Finding the Story
Building meaningful visual narratives through photographs, reflection, and conversation.
Photography, Words & Zines
Exploring the relationship between images and writing through collaborative storytelling.
Land & Lives
Inspired by my ongoing documentary project, these workshops invite participants to explore the people, places, traditions, and everyday moments that shape their communities.
Creative Conversations
Gatherings where photography, writing, and storytelling become a way of building connection.
Every workshop is developed collaboratively.
Rather than offering fixed programs, I prefer to begin with a conversation.
Together we’ll create an experience that reflects your community, your goals, and the stories waiting to be explored.
Tell me a little about your community and what you’d like to create together.
